Platinum Disc's Greatest Hits of the 80's, Vol. 2 covers a lot of ground in only ten tracks. From the smooth soul of Gregory Abbott ("Shake You Down"), the bubbling power pop of Tommy Tutone ("/Jenny"), the poppy arena rock of REO Speedwagon ("Can't Fight This Feeling") and the Outfield ("Your Love"), the hair metal of Warrant ("Down Boys") and the new wave of the Psychedelic Furs.

Greatest New Wave Songs Background: 'New Wave' evolved from 'Punk' in the late '70s being less anti-social and more radio (and MTV) friendly, hitting it's high in '83 and faded around ' It can be best described as mixing the energy of Punk with a bit of 'Glam', .
